Are we clutching at straws?

The world is indeed starved of any kind of positive news, more so on the economic front. Stock traders world over have been looking for something positive to grasp at. Citigroup gave it yesterday. If one looks at it in a normal economic situation the news from Citi is nothing to write home about. But the times are anything but normal.Markets have rallied all over the globe and short traders will be scurrying to cover.

But the big question is, is this the start of the turnaround or are we merely clutching at straws?
